At Switched On Building Solutions, we take pride in providing tailored maintenance services that meet the unique needs of our clients. Our ongoing partnership with Queen Margaret College, an esteemed independent girls’ school in Wellington, is testament to our commitment to excellence in both planned and reactive maintenance.
Queen Margaret College required a reliable partner to support the maintenance and enhancement of their campus. Our role involves not only addressing immediate maintenance needs, but also assisting in the identification and prioritisation of work across the school’s buildings. By working closely with the school’s leadership, we have been able to plan and execute larger maintenance programs, ensuring that the college’s infrastructure remains in top condition.
During the 2023-2024 break, our Pōneke-Wellington team successfully completed phase one of the college’s exterior repaint program. This marks the beginning of a five/six-year upgrade plan that will cover most of the school’s buildings. Additionally, we recently prioritised and completed rust treatment and repainting of the school’s balconies. These tasks were critical to maintaining a high standard of building safety for students, teachers, and whānau.
One of the key aspects of our success at Queen Margaret College has been our close working relationship with the school. By maintaining open lines of communication and coordinating effectively with their Facilities Manager and Director Finance and Operations, we are able tominimise disruption to the school community. Our careful planning and execution have allowed us to carry out necessary work while ensuring that the school’s daily operations continue smoothly.
Health and safety are at the forefront of our work at Queen Margaret College. We have implemented stringent health and safety protocols, tailored to the specific needs of the school environment. This ensures that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and with minimal impact on the students and staff.
